Simple Meditation ("the app") is a meditation timer and journal. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
Simple Meditation does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device or in your own iCloud account.
This data is saved locally using your device's standard app storage. It is not sent to us or to any third party.
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, Simple Meditation uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store to sync your meditation session list across your own Apple devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account, managed by Apple. We never see it, and we have no servers that receive it. You can disable this by signing out of iCloud or disabling iCloud for Simple Meditation in your device's iCloud settings.
If you choose to enable "Sync to Apple Health" in Settings:
Health data is managed entirely by Apple's HealthKit framework on your device. It is never transmitted to us. You can revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Simple Meditation.
You can export your session history to a JSON file on your device using the Export button in Settings. The file is created on your device and shared only through the system share sheet — where it goes after that is your choice. Import works the same way in reverse, reading a file you select.
None. We do not operate any servers that receive your data. We do not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or any third-party SDKs that transmit information off your device.
Simple Meditation is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
